JPL LIVING EXPERIENCE / THE DESIGNER’S NEST

Interior & objects / Design & production

I designed this 45 sq/m penthouse as a flexible, nomadic home, where modular, self-designed furniture and adaptable spaces reflect movement, storytelling, and everyday craft.

I designed this 45 sq/m penthouse as an homage to international craft, modular ergonomics and movement.

Most of the furniture is self-designed, crafted from industrial materials chosen for their structural clarity and ease of assembly. Each element is conceived to be dismantled, relocated, and reconfigured, reflecting my dynamic approach to living. Complementary pieces, sourced for their accessibility, have been redefined through targeted custom interventions, extending their lifespan and integrating them into the spatial narrative. Nomadism, flexibility, and storytelling are embedded in every detail.

Even with restrained resources, I shaped a space that conveys intimacy and domesticity. I wanted to shows how design guided by adaptability can create an environment that is at once functional, personal, and deeply resonant with hospitality.

Situated at the edge of a forest inhabited by foxes, squirrels, and owls, it offers a rare continuity between architecture and its natural environment.
