ABOUT JEAN-PAUL LESPAGNARD /
As a multidisciplinary designer, artistic director and entrepreneur, Jean-Paul Lespagnard crosses frontiers between fashion, objects, live performance, and interior design. His journey has already taken shape in more than 25 countries, teaming up with artists, corporate partners, and cultural organizations of many kinds.
“My design speaks a universal language that transcends stereotypes and connects cultures.“
Belgian by birth and by artistic education, Jean-Paul thinks on a global scale. Cultures and craftsmanship constantly expand his creative vocabulary, shaped by deep immersion in vibrant neighborhood, local markets and hidden workshops. This ongoing process of discovery forms the foundation of his visual universe, with designs emerging from cultural exchange, material experimentation, practices, and the fusion of mediums.
Sustainability for Jean-Paul goes beyond the usual focus on materials. It is about building from and for the ecosystem, designing not only for aesthetics but also for a diverse community. A project succeeds when it fosters interaction and generates work that resonates within the networks it inhabits.
Embracing a nomadic approach to creation, Jean-Paul moves fluidly between Latin America, Asia, and Europe, drawing inspiration from diverse landscapes. With no predefined boundaries, his approach to design thrives on collaborations that challenge conventions and expand possibilities.
