EGGS A LA MODE / GALLER
Artistic direction, design concept and development / Client : Galler Chocolate
I imagined the Eggs A La Mode as joyful, modular objects that continue to live beyond their first use.
Galler invited me to rethink the packaging of its Easter eggs to mark an important anniversary. I approached the object as something complete in itself, closer to a small sculpture than to traditional packaging. After observing the production process, I developed three eggs made of three detachable parts, each with its own graphic language, opening the way to twenty seven possible variations. This approach brings a breath of variety into a largely uniform supermarket landscape. I was looking for an instinctive, joyful gesture rooted in a long history of objects that move across cultures and eras.
I treated this project as a space where collectibility, play and reimagined rituals meet. The graphic inspiration comes from decorative eggs found in many regions of the world, objects that carry memories, beliefs and transmissions.
This project brings design into the everyday without losing what guides it: attention to gestures, celebration of diversity, a playful way of shifting familiar codes. I wanted an object to keep, to pass on, to transform, to reuse, a small contemporary talisman that continues to live far beyond its initial purpose as packaging.
